Help Maria Aecha Guerrero and Family Fight AML

Hi, my name is Tanya Reynoso and I am starting this fundraiser to secure a relief fund for my dearest and nearest friend Maria Aecha, who has recently been unexpectedly diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

My family and I had just spent a lovely weekend with the Guerreros and soon after we returned to California, Maria started to come down with what appeared to be severe flu-like symptoms. She decided to go to the emergency room for further evaluation since her breathing and symptoms kept worsening. That's when it was decided that she needed to be hospitalized for treatment. She was then informed that what she was experiencing were symptoms of pneumonia caused by a form of leukemia.

Yesterday she went through a bone marrow biopsy and today she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a rare and aggressive cancer in the blood that attacks the bone marrow. Maria is set to start intensive chemotherapy tomorrow, which can last up to 8 days, and then will remain hospitalized for 5 weeks for recovery and treatment.

While she remains in the hospital, her husband Oscar and close family will attempt to hold some type of normalcy for their two beautiful children Hana and Lucas. Given the severity of this unexpected medical situation, it is with much humility and respect that I kindly request for anyone who is reading this to look into their hearts and support this family with a donation or by spreading the word to those who would be interested in donating to my friend's cancer relief fund.
