My name is Hannah Shaka and I am helping to raise emergency relief funds for my dear friend and fellow artist Marguerite Boissonnault, who has been hit hard with both Hurricane Helene and Milton.

Marguerite is a Dell'Arte MFA alumni (2020) who has been living in the St. Petersburg area of Florida for several years. When Helene hit, the home she has been living in was completely flooded and destroyed with 4ft of storm water. Marguerite has lost her home, her truck, her furniture, and her personal belongings (including all of her writings from her artistic practice and her theater resource books).

She narrowly escaped the sudden storm surge of Hurricane Helene with her cat and only a few essential belongings that could fit in a backpack. While she was still picking through the devastation of Helene, Milton made landfall, exacerbating the situation.

We are reaching out to the community to help get Marguerite back on her feet. All funds raised will go directly to Marguerite so she can pay for basic needs, get back on her feet, and relocate.

How I know Marguerite:
