Help Margot Rebuild After Losing Everything in Wildfire

My beloved friend and neighbor Margot Stueber lost everything when a wildfire destroyed her Altadena home. In the terrifying moments before evacuation, Margot found herself alone in her darkened house, watching the approaching flames as fierce winds drove the fire toward her property. Though she managed to escape with her beloved cat and dog, the house and all her possessions were completely destroyed.

Margot is a cherished member of our Altadena community. As a German immigrant who made California her home, she has woven herself into the fabric of our neighborhood through her love of music and dedication to bringing people together. Many know her from the Soul Force Choir, where her voice has lifted spirits, or from Rhythm of the Village on Lake Ave, where her drumming has brought joy to countless gatherings. Three times a week, she could be found walking the neighborhood with her friend Mark V. Jones, who grew up in the very house that was lost to the flames - adding another layer of history and connection to this devastating loss.

Currently, Margot is staying with a friend, trying to process this traumatic experience while facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding her life from scratch. She needs help with immediate essentials:

Resources to begin the long process of finding a new permanent home
