Dear friends and family — our beloved Margie Smith has been diagnosed with stage 2 cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the bile duct. She will begin multiple rounds of chemotherapy and will have another MRI to determine whether surgery is an option. While her care is proceeding, medical bills are mounting quickly and her family is facing significant financial strain.

Why we’re raising funds

Margie does not currently have health insurance; her husband is out of work.

Funds will go directly toward medical bills, treatments, medications, and everyday living expenses while Margie focuses on treatment and recovery.

Margie is the most kindhearted, selfless, and giving person we know. She lives at home with her husband, their granddaughter (whom Margie has custody of), and two adult children. She has always been the first to help others — now she needs our help.
