To our dear friends and family, It has been nearly a year since my aunt Margie experienced a severe stroke. Gwendolyn, her daughter, has selflessly served as her primary caregiver for the past 11 months pausing her college studies to be able to do so. So that she is able to manage her daily needs and care. Given my aunt's total reliance on Gwendolyn, the situation has become increasingly difficult. The loss of my aunt's job due to the stroke has resulted in considerable financial hardship, as she was the family's sole income source, as my cousin was a full time college student during that time.
