Help Margaret Walker Focus on Recovery

Hi, my name is Crystal. My mom (Margaret Walker), had a craniotomy to clip an aneurysm on 12/10/24. The surgery itself was 10+ hours long, and super successful as far as getting the job done. We are VERY fortunate that she had not endured any stroke or rupture, which she was very high risk for. As thankful as we are for that, there have since been setbacks causing her to still be admitted at Northwestern. She was in Neuro ICU for the first 3 days and since moved to a specialized Neuro unit. She has come a long way, but still has a long way to go! Upon discharge, which we are praying is soon, she will transfer to Shirley Ryan Ability Lab for some weeks of Physical, Occupational and Speech therapies. Every day there are improvements and positive changes. We are grateful for every little one. We take things one day at a time. Her surgeon is confident that everything will resolve in time . This has been a journey, with so much more to go. She has been out of work since September 5th , with no return date in sight as of yet. As she should be resting to recover , she is instead completely stressing about other aspects such as work and bills and things out of our control. We are so very thankful for all the prayers, texts, comments and concerns. Please continue to PRAY. I have created this GoFundMe to try and take some of that stress off her mind!
