As many of you know, our world was turned upside down and inside out in November when Marcus was diagnosed with metastatic HPV-mediated squamous cell carcinoma, he has Tonsil Cancer.

He will undergo 7 weeks of radiation, 5 days a week. And 7 rounds of chemo, 1 day a week for 7 weeks. Because the radiation is aimed at his throat he will end up with a feeding tube because it will become too dangerous for him to swallow.

Before he can start treatment he has some major dental work that MUST BE DONE. He has 10 teeth that must be surgically extracted. The closest oral surgeon that could get us in before February is in Jasper. He can do the surgery on December 27th, perfect! The catch? We have to somehow come up with $2110 to be paid on the day of surgery. Our dental insurance SUCKS!

We asked for a total amount of $10,000 to cover the dental work and to help him pay his bills through treatment because he is going to miss some work and will thus miss some money on his check.

Everyone has been so wonderful and supportive. We didn't want to go this route, but these teeth coming out LITERALLY controls his treatment start date.
