Help Marcus Re-Ignite The Dream of Animation

Hello one and all, and welcome to this crowdfunding campaign!

I am your humble beneficiary, Marcus R. Gregory, and I have a really big idea.

Once upon a time, as we were all stuck in our homes absorbing copious amounts of media, I was introduced to an amazing online production called Dimension 20. This tabletop role-playing game actual-play series had me riveted, as the stories of high fantasy unfolded before me, with characters lovingly played by a group known by many as the Intrepid Heroes, guided through their adventures by the inimitable dungeon master, Brennan Lee Mulligan.

It was only later, as we were all returning to work and resuming somewhat normal lives again, that I was made aware of another similar series name Critical Role, via the animation series that was spun off from it: The Legend of Vox Machina.

Enraptured by the creative storytelling and the BEAUTIFUL animation, the wheels in my head began to turn, as I wonder, both internally and aloud: "What if Dimension 20 was given similar treatment and made into an animated series?"

After seeing interviews, q&a sessions on Discord, and multiple fan discussions on various online forums, it seemed that the producers of Dimension 20 had no plans to go forward with an animated series due to the cost-prohibitive nature of animation production for full series. But then the wheels in my head started turning even more fervently as I wondered again, both internally and aloud: "What if *I* did it?"

So, pulling from my favorite seasons of Dimension 20, specifically one of the final episodes of The Unsleeping City, and adapting the character designs from the illustrations by Kendra Wells, I got to work making a rough storyboard of the scene I want to animate, as a proof of concept. Now that those are complete, this is where you, dear viewer, come into play.

While I plan to do this no matter what happens, for me to take this animation from this point to completion in a reasonable amount of time, I need your help. The funds raised here will go directly toward supporting me in completing this work, and the more successful this campaign is, the faster things can be done, because not only will I be supported individually, but I will able to hire people to help me.

Naturally I wouldn't want anyone to just feel like they're donating into the ether, so this campaign will be frequently updated as production continues.

I first started animating back in 1995, and it has been my dream to return to the industry. After numerous starts and stops, I've decided to take a really big swing with this, and with your support, I can make this dream a reality. Also, with a successful campaign, we can show Sam Reich how much we, as fans, want to see a Dimension 20 animated series!
