My name is Marcus, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself after a scary and life-changing health crisis. I was recently hospitalized for 4 days, and during that time I was diagnosed with kidney disease and told there may also be heart disease that still needs to be ruled out. Hearing that news turned my world upside down, but I am determined to fight for my health, avoid dialysis if at all possible, and do everything I can to improve my quality of life. I know I can’t rely on doctors and my care team alone. I have to make serious changes in my day-to-day life, and I am committed to doing that.

Support from my community would help me afford the things I need to stay on this path: clean groceries, supplements, transportation to appointments, and co-pays for the many medical visits and tests ahead of me. These expenses are adding up quickly, especially as I work through follow-up care and more answers about my heart.
