Help Marcus stop the stage 3 Esophageal, pancreatic cancer!

Donation protected

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I'm asking for your help and support for someone very dear to all of us, Marcus Inamine. Recently, he received the devastating news that cancer had spread from his esophagus to his pancreas and liver. He is currently in Thailand looking at conventional and alternative options while waiting for word from cancer treatment centers in the US to see if he is eligible.

Marcus is one of those guys you see and he wears a smile on his face. It almost makes you want to slap it to see if he has another expression. We grew up less than a block away from each other in Hawaii Kai and he has always been one of those guys you want in your corner. He was always the protector and went out of his way to ensure you were ok before anything else. Typical Kaiser High School boy and friendly and outgoing to a fault. He has always been physically fit from his days wrestling at Kaiser to the martial arts he took on for many years. He is always giving and selfless. Now, I think we all know that this is the moment we can step up and offer him, his wife Gig, and his son Haku a hand in being a protector.

Facing such a daunting diagnosis is incredibly tough, both emotionally, physically, and financially. As Marcus begins this challenging journey of treatments, surgeries, and recovery, we want to alleviate some of the financial burden that comes with battling cancer. We recently did a Fundraiser at the St Louis Clubhouse and your presence was amazing. The crowd was bigger than we could have imagined. Friends from the neighborhood we grew up in, to high school to former work colleagues to fellow buddies we rode motorcycles with, all showed up. This was substantial in assisting with his long-term care and recovery. As a testament to who he is, there was a crowd of over 300 there in support. To be honest, we need more.

Marcus and Gig and Haku recently went back to Thailand to get alternative treatment options while waiting for the US clinics to get to work. The Medical care is a bit lower in price and works out easier since Gig is from Thailand. She has the moral support of family and friends while she takes care of Marcus. They are still awaiting word from MD Andersen if he is eligible for any treatment or trials since his cancer has already spread to both his pancreas and liver.

Your donations will go directly towards medical expenses, including treatments, medications, and necessary supportive care. This is not a cheap endeavor and we need the financial support. No matter the size, every contribution will make a meaningful difference in Marcus’ fight against cancer.

Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with your network. Tell friends, blast it on social media, talk to your work colleagues. Your support and generosity will provide Marcus with the strength and resources needed to focus on healing and beating cancer. This guy knows nothing about asking and always giving. Too humble or stubborn to accept help. It took a long time for him to give me the ok to even start this campaign! He only budged when I said, listen, this is for you but also for your wife and your elementary school son.

Any remaining money left over from medical treatment will go into a bank account for Gig and Haku to support them in life IF the time comes. Your donation would help with Co-Pay, Travel, Food and lodging for Gig and Haku, recovery costs, and of course, medicine. While we can never understand the stress on Marcus and his family, we can ease some burden. Our time to be his protector. Let's go Marcus. We f*cking got this!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us during this difficult time. Let's take the financial burden off of the family so they can focus on treatment and care. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to Marcus, Gig, and Haku’s journey.
