Help Marco Recover After Two Massive Heart Attacks...
Hi, my name is Daniel (some of you know me as Danny, or Dan), and I’m writing on behalf of my dear friend Marco, someone I’ve proudly called a brother since 1978.
Marco is a hardworking, humble man. He’s an owner-operator dump truck driver based in Ohio, hauling asphalt through the spring, summer, and fall months. When the seasons shift, he drives a milk truck, delivering from dairy farms in Ohio and Indiana to Michigan and various states. He’s one of those guys who never stops, until something stops him.
On June 25, 2025, Marco suffered his first massive heart attack and underwent emergency surgery where two stents were implanted. He was released on June 28th, which happened to be his birthday, determined to get back on his feet. Doctors cleared him to return to work the following Monday, June 30th, and Marco did what he’s always done: he showed up and was ready to work the asphalt night shift.
But just days later, on July 3rd, tragedy struck again. Marco had a second massive heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. On July 4th, we nearly lost him. His heart stopped, and he had to be shocked twice to be brought back. By the grace of God, countless prayers, and his Guardian Angels, Marco survived and is currently in recovery after being transferred from Lima Memorial Hospital to Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital at Ohio State University.
Doctors now say that he likely won’t be able to return to work until next April or May. As a self-employed driver, this extended time off is devastating, not only physically, but financially…. His medical bills alone will be astronomical. Marco has always worked hard to support himself and his family, but right now, he needs our help.
I’m asking you whether you’re a family member, friend, or simply someone who wants to help, to give $10, $20, $100 or any amount you feel led to give. We’re mostly from Ohio, “the heart of it all” and I believe in my heart that we can come together and make a difference.
This isn’t just about money. This is about showing someone who’s been given a second chance that he’s not alone. With our prayers, support, and a little bit of spare change, we can help Marco stay afloat and focus on healing. He’s already been through so much, but I believe God saved him for a reason.
Let’s lift him up in this season of need. Thank you for anything you can do, whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer. Every act of kindness counts.
With gratitude, and thanks!
Daniel Johnson
