We come here with heavy hearts to ask for help. Our father was diagnosed with lung cancer, stage 3 on 10/24/19.  He doesn't have insurance and the marketplace won't offer him a plan that starts until the new year. We cannot lose him, so we cannot lose any time for him to start treatment. The hospital is taking longer to schedule appointments for him because he doesn't have insurance and that is discouraging him. So far he's had medical consultations, thorax X-rays, CT scan, ER attention, and a bronchoscopy (lung biopsy). Now a PET scan is needed, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. All without insurance and the financial assistance we were approved for will not even cover half of it. Dad just turned 58. He's an amazing father of three and husband of the best mother. He is hardworking, an animal lover, and a great cook. He's never smoked and has been a healthy person most of his life. This news has hurt him and his loved ones in many ways. After he finishes treatment, all the money left from your donations will be donated back to someone fighting cancer or in need. We will be updating you with news about his progress.
