Our dear friend and colleague Marco was shot in his home while holding his newborn baby,  with his husband and four year old child at home. The bullet, one of ten shot at his house, came in through his living room window, and badly damaged his teeth, jaw and neck. Due to this senseless act of violence, Marco has a long road ahead of him paved with reconstructive surgeries and healing.

 

Anyone who knows Marco knows his infectious smile, fun personality and exuberant spirit, which has not been diminished by this horrific act. Let's send him love, support and healing vibes from his UCSF family, and donations to help him and his family through this trying time.
