My name is Robby Yoho. In July, my mother, Marcelyn Yoho, was diagnosed with breast cancer, and will be having a mastectomy and radiation treatment in the coming months. This is a major shift for our family for several reasons, and we are seeking financial support to ensure we can make sure she has the best environment possible in which she can heal from her treatment.

My mother is the primary caretaker for my little sister, who was born with CHARGE Syndrome. CHARGE is a disability that has several factors, which causes her to struggle with her hearing, vision, speech, mobility, and means she is tube-fed and wholly unable to take care of herself. Recently, she graduated from school (we're very proud of her, she did great!!), which means she has been cared for 24/7 for the past several months. Although we are hopeful she will be able to get into an adult program soon, we do not yet have any guarantees. With my mother slated to be in recovery from her surgery, me fulfilling business obligations in other states, and family members understandably not being able to devote the same amount of time out of their own lives to keep things running smoothly, we are seeking funds to assist with finances and my sister's care both prior to and after the surgery.

This is especially painful following the death of our father back in 2024, who suffered a stroke that left him in rehabilitation for a period of a few months before passing away in the night. Our family, now smaller, is facing another major health crisis, and is doing our best to get by. I wish I could say it's made us stronger, and I'm sure in some way it has, but right now it just feels all kinds of scary.

The primary goal of these funds is to ensure some level of financial comfort for my mother as she goes through this painstaking process, as well as the ability to hire care as needed for my sister while my mom is physically incapacitated. We honestly don't know what number feels right to put on here as a goal, and we are humbled by any donation that comes our way. It's been a really rough go of things lately, but we're going to get through this. We always do.
