My name is Márcia Khayran. I’m 52 years old.

In 2024, I received a diagnosis that changed everything: early-stage breast cancer.

In that moment, time stopped. Fear came. Questions came. But soon after… strength arrived.

I started chemotherapy in January 2025. There were hard days. My body was tired. The loneliness was heavy.

But something deeper grew inside me — the will to live.

Even far from my family in Brazil, with little support here, I found myself again.

I discovered that my faith, my love for life, and a strength I didn’t even know I had… were more powerful than the illness.

Yes, I cried. But I also smiled. I felt afraid. But I kept going.

Today, still in treatment, I stand strong.

I’ve learned to ask for help. I’ve learned to accept the love and kindness of those who reach out to me.

I’ve learned that being strong doesn’t mean not feeling pain… it means continuing, even with it.

This is not a story about cancer.

It’s a story about rebirth.

About courage.

About choosing not to give up on myself.

And I won’t give up.
