Hi, I’m Ashleigh. Marci’s daughter.

On August 8, my mom, Marci and Rob lost their home in a devastating fire.

Most importantly, they made it out safely. But in a matter of hours, they lost the home they built, nearly everything they owned, their vehicles and, most heartbreakingly, their beloved animals.

Their home and belongings were not insured, which means there isn’t an insurance settlement coming to help them rebuild what they’ve lost.

It’s difficult to even put a number on a loss like this. Between their home, vehicles, belongings and everything accumulated over a lifetime, the financial loss is enormous. But right now, we’re simply trying to help them figure out what comes next.

The funds raised will help my mom and Rob with immediate living expenses, clothing and necessities, transportation, cleanup and recovery costs, and eventually finding and creating a home again.

There are also things no amount of money can replace.. photographs, keepsakes, memories, and the animals they loved. My mom told me today that among the few things she was able to save was a book I made for her and some drawings from my sister. Right now, she’s simply grateful to still have those.

We’re incredibly grateful that they’re alive. Now we’re hoping to surround them with as much support as possible while they begin rebuilding their lives.
