Help Marcelo Recover

This is Marcelo. To his family he is an incredible husband and father. To us, the cycling community, he is an unconditional friend. His positive attitude is contagious.  His love for the sport shows in the way he welcomes new comers and encourages those of us trying to improve. Unfortunately, Marcelo suffered a terrible accident while riding with our group. While returning from the typical "Tuesday Ride" with the team, a millimeter of movement caused him to collide with another rider and caused a fall at a high velocity. He suffered serious injuries and was immediately flown out to the nearest Trauma facility which is two and half hours away in San Antonio, TX.  Thankfully, he survived. He has now been discharged and is recuperating in a rehabilitation center, where he is regaining strength to walk and perform activities of daily living. However, the road ahead is long. We ask that you help us show him our support by contributing to this GoFundMe campaign, which we hope will raise enough money to help somewhat with medical bills, housing, loss of income and rehabilitation therapy and supplies.
