Help Marcelo Fight Cancer

Dear friends and family, we kindly request your attention for a moment as we share the distressing journey our family has been enduring these past two months. In an instant, our lives were turned upside down when our beloved family member, Marcelo Gamboa Jr., was rushed to the emergency due to severe pain on his abdomen and the left side of his back. After running numerous medical exams, he was admitted to the hospital for several weeks. Two cancerous tumors were found in Marcelo’s body: one in his left lung and another found in his large intestine. On May 24, 2023, Marcelo was then undergone through a critical emergency surgery to remove his 8cm tumor. At that moment, his surgery then proceeded to a colostomy that had to be done in order to save his life.

His journey to recovery has been long as we all await for future procedures to be done to continue saving his life. Every day he puts effort to reclaim his house while recovering from his first surgery. News from the surgical pathology report was then given a diagnosis of stage four metastatic and aggressive colon cancer that has rendered him permanently disabled leading him to resign from his lifelong employment.

Financial burden has been tremendous for our family. Your donation will not only aid in his physical recovery from continuous chemotherapy but also provide him with the emotional fortitude to face the challenges that lie ahead.

We as his family members continue to pray and continue to believe that God is working all things together for the good of those that love him. We are all choosing faith over fear.
