Help Marcella Rebuild Her Life After Losing Everything

Hi, my name is Marcella, and I’m asking for help after the devastating Hurricane Helene in Asheville NC that left me without almost everything.

My home was severely damaged, and I lost both of my cars and all of my personal and business belongings. As a single person who just rebuilt after a devastating breakup last year, I’m facing the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding my life on my own yet again.

I’ve always been proud of my independence and my ability to support myself, but this loss has made it impossible for me to recover alone. Not only did I lose essential home items and transportation, but my business has also been impacted, as I lost crucial equipment needed to continue my work.

On top of this, many of the items I lost were things I am still paying for, leaving me with debt for things I no longer have. This includes my computers, cars, washer, dryer, and other items that are essential to my daily life and business.

I’m asking for your help to raise $36,775 [yet the loss is greater than $150k] so that I can replace these items, clear some of the debt from what I’ve lost, and rebuild my home and business.

Items Needed to Recover:

Home Essentials:

Furniture: Beds, dressers, shelves, nightstands, couch, tables, chairs, and file storage.

Clothing: Everyday clothes, shoes, and outerwear.

Kitchen Supplies: Small appliances like a toaster, blender, instant pot, air fryer, grill, and microwave.

Electronics: TVs, phone, 3 computers, washer/dryer, charger devices and so much more.

Essentials: Bedding, towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies and other household supplies.

Car:

Even though I lost two cars, I just need to replace one of them.

Reliable Vehicle: Transportation to get to work, run errands, and regain my independence.

Business Essentials:

Computer and Software: Critical for running my business and managing work tasks.

Recording Devices: Microphones, cameras, and other equipment needed for content creation and client work.

Lighting Equipment: Professional lighting for video recordings and photography.

Printer and Office Supplies: Printer, paper, ink, and other essential office items.

Miscellaneous Business Tools: Additional tools and supplies necessary to get my business back up and running.

Items I’m Still Paying Off:

Computers: Lost but still paying off the cost of my primary work tools [$3,347].

Cars: Both vehicles were lost in the event, but I am still making payments on one of them [$17,491].

Washer and Dryer: Recently purchased and still under financing, now lost [$2126].

Other Household Appliances: Items like my refrigerator, and microwave that were lost but are still under payment plans.
