Help Marcelino & his family as he battles COVID

Hola, soy Michell, la hija de Mike hablando en nombre de él y de nuestra familia.

El 30 de noviembre nuestro querido padre Marcelino Morales fue trasladado de urgencia al hospital de Richland debido a problemas respiratorios. Más tarde, el médico confirmó que dio positivo a covid y que tiene un caso grave. Sus niveles de oxígeno eran extremadamente bajos, los pulmones, el hígado estaban todos afectados, debido a todos estos problemas mi padre no ha podido salir del hospital. Esa misma semana nos informaron que se estaba recuperando lentamente y esperábamos que regresara a casa muy pronto. Lamentablemente recibimos otra llamada el sábado 11 a la medianoche informándonos que sus pulmones dejaron de funcionar drásticamente y que tuvo que ser trasladado a la UCI de inmediato para que le brinden tratamiento y seguimiento. Mi padre ahora está intubado y necesita un ventilador para que la máquina pueda respirar por él. Nuestro padre está luchando con todas sus fuerzas contra esta enfermedad que amenaza la vida.

Mike es un esposo cariñoso y un padre amable. Antes de que nuestro padre tuviera covid, nuestra madre tuvo un accidente que afectó sus piernas debido a que no pudo trabajar por un tiempo, nuestro padre todavía estaba sano en ese momento y todavía estaba trabajando. Aproximadamente una semana después de que nuestra madre comenzará a regresar al trabajo, nuestro padre se enfermó de repente. Resultó que tenía covid, mi mamá, mi papá y mi hermana mayor tuvieron que dejar de trabajar y entrar en cuarentena. Ambos padres son personas muy trabajadoras, siempre se aseguran de dar lo mejor de sí mismos y con una actitud positiva. Nuestro padre siempre ha sido reconocido por muchos amigos, familiares y compañeros de trabajo por su arduo trabajo y su voluntad de aprender cosas nuevas.

Hello, I'm Michell, Mike's daughter speaking on behalf of him and our family.

On November 30th our dear father Marcelino Morales was rushed to the hospital in Richland due to respiratory issues. The doctor later confirmed that he came out positive to covid and that he has a severe case. His oxygen levels were extremely low, lungs, liver were all affected, due to all these problems my father has not been able to leave the hospital. That same week we were informed that he was slowly recovering and we were hoping he would be back home very soon. Sadly we received another call on Saturday 11th at midnight informing us that his lungs have drastically stopped working and he had to be transferred to the ICU immediately to provide treatment and monitoring. My father is now intubated and he is requiring a ventilator so the machine can do the breathing for him. Our father is fighting with full strength against this life-threatening illness.

Mike is a loving husband and kind father. Before our father got covid our mother got into an accident that affected her legs because of this she wasn't able to work for a while, our dad was still healthy at that time and was still working. About a week after our mother started going back to work our dad suddenly got sick. It turned out he got covid, my mom, dad, and oldest sister had to stop working and go into quarantine. Both parents are very hard-working people, they always make sure to do their best and with a positive attitude. Our dad has always been recognized by so many friends, family, and work buddies for his hard work and willingness to learn new things.
