Help Marcel on his sport equipment

Hello everyone,

My name is Paulina Celmer-Ewertowska, and I am the proud mother of a very talented young athlete – Marcel Ewertowski. Marcel has been training in athletics for nearly three years now, and in that short time, he has already achieved remarkable results.

Last year, he placed 3rd in the UK in the indoor 200m and 2nd in the UK in the pentathlon. Since then, Marcel has decided to focus on decathlon, which this season includes 8 different events. To compete at the highest level, he must also train in pole vault, which is a mandatory event in indoor combined competitions.

It’s important to mention that combined events competitions usually take place over two days, which brings additional costs for travel and accommodation. On top of that, all open competitions – which are essential for his development and ranking – must be fully funded by me.

Unfortunately, the necessary equipment is extremely expensive and not provided by our club. Pole vault poles are especially costly and need to be changed regularly to suit the athlete’s growth and weight. Each event requires a different type of shoes, and Marcel has already outgrown his high jump spikes and urgently needs a new pair.

As a single mother, I do everything I can to support my children and help them follow their dreams, but the financial pressure has become overwhelming. Marcel also trains in Loughborough, where he works on improving his pole vault and discus skills – and without a driver’s license, the transportation costs are even higher.

That’s why I am kindly asking for your support. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help Marcel continue on his path. He is incredibly dedicated, passionate, and works so hard to succeed. After only three years of training, he’s already achieved so much – and I truly believe the best is yet to come.

Witam serdecznie,

Nazywam się Paulina Celmer-Ewertowska i jestem mamą niezwykle utalentowanego młodego lekkoatlety – Marcela Ewertowskiego. Marcel trenuje lekkoatletykę od niemal trzech lat i w tak krótkim czasie osiągnął naprawdę imponujące wyniki.

W ubiegłym roku zdobył 3. miejsce w Wielkiej Brytanii na 200 metrów podczas zawodów halowych, a także 2. miejsce w pięcioboju. Od zeszłego roku zdecydował się skupić na wieloboju, który w tym sezonie obejmuje aż 8 dyscyplin. Aby móc startować na najwyższym poziomie, konieczny jest również trening skoku o tyczce – ta konkurencja jest obowiązkowa w halowych zawodach wielobojowych.

Co więcej, zawody wielobojowe odbywają się zazwyczaj przez dwa dni, co wiąże się z dodatkowymi kosztami – transportu i noclegu. Również udział w zawodach otwartych (open), które są kluczowe dla rozwoju sportowego Marcela, jest w pełni finansowany przeze mnie. Niestety, wszystkie te koszty zaczynają mnie przerastać.

Sprzęt sportowy również stanowi ogromne wyzwanie finansowe – tyczki, które nie są dostarczane przez klub, są bardzo drogie i muszą być regularnie wymieniane wraz ze wzrostem i wagą zawodnika. Dodatkowo, każda z konkurencji wymaga innego rodzaju butów. Marcel wyrósł już z butów do skoku wzwyż i pilnie potrzebuje nowej pary.

Jestem samotną mamą i robię wszystko, co w mojej mocy, by wspierać swoje dzieci. Jednak w tej chwili po prostu nie jestem w stanie udźwignąć tych kosztów sama. Marcel dodatkowo trenuje również w Loughborough, gdzie rozwija swoje umiejętności w rzucie dyskiem i skoku o tyczce. Nie posiadam prawa jazdy, co znacząco podnosi koszty transportu.

Dlatego z całego serca proszę o pomoc. Każda, nawet najmniejsza wpłata, pomoże Marcelowi dalej rozwijać się i dążyć do realizacji marzeń. Jest niezwykle zdeterminowany, pracowity i już dziś osiąga wyniki, o których inni mogą tylko marzyć – a ma zaledwie trzy lata treningu za sobą. Wierzę, że jego największe sukcesy są jeszcze przed nim.
