Hello. My name is Marcee and I am humbly reaching out to my community, asking you to prayerfully come behind me in your support.
In 2023, I was hospitalized after a weird fall with no tripping, dizziness, or fainting. It was then that I was diagnosed with Systemic Sclerosis Scleroderma (which explained the extreme pain I had been living with for several years), an autoimmune disease that produces too much collagen and affects every organ in my body.
I have since acquired Raynaud’s Syndrome, Sclerodactyly, Fingertip Atrophy (causing difficulty with fine motor skills), Gastrointestinal Disorders, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Myocardial Fibrosis, and now, Pulmonary Hypertension. There are also some nodules on my thyroid, a spot on my liver, and a spot on my brain (pituitary) that need to be looked at.
Navigating and trying to figure out what I can physically handle, I have lost 5 jobs in two years. I am now on job number 6 and only physically able to handle 4 hours a day working for Chick-fil-A. In September, I plan to start driving the school bus again as soon as my eye heals from a cornea transplant I recently had. Since the new school buses are equipped with air conditioning and daily work duties are a split shift, I’m very confident I will be able to fulfill the job requirements with little physical strain. If this seems to be untrue, then my last resort will be filing for disability, something I really do not want to do, so please pray in agreement with me over that.
As you can imagine, my finances have been quite stressed over these last 2 years. It has only been by the grace of God and His provision that I’ve been able to meet my essential financial needs. However, now only working less than 20 hours a week, I just don’t have enough. I am now at risk of losing my apartment…they have been so wonderful and patient and I love living here.
So, here I am, humbly asking for your prayers and help in covering my essential expenses for August and September.
