Our Beloved - Marc Villagran Sr., a retired senior, Coast Guard veteran, husband, father, brother, and friend to many in the United States and abroad, was seriously injured in a motorbike accident in the Philippines.
He needs urgent surgery for severe leg tissue damage and close monitoring for a minor brain bleed. We’re raising $7,000 to cover surgery, hospital care, and recovery.
Funds will be transferred to Marc’s home church in the Philippines, which is helping with translation and on-the-ground coordination. Your prayers and support mean the world to us.
- On Monday afternoon, Marc was on his way home after hiring a motorbike rider for transport when another motorcycle struck them. Marc suffered the worst injuries. Given his age, he’s at higher risk for complications, but we are grateful that initial imaging showed no fractures. He does, however, have severe soft tissue damage to his left leg requiring surgery to repair the skin and tissue. A CT scan revealed a slight brain bleed; doctors believe it can be managed without surgery, but he must remain under close observation.
- Right now, Marc is in significant pain and receiving hospital care. The driver responsible has been detained but is not able to cover the medical costs.
