Help Maranda, Her Children & Their Dog Rebuild After Devastating Apartment Fire

In the early morning hours of June 1st, tragedy struck Maranda Underwood and her two children when a fire tore through their Milwaukee apartment building. With flames rapidly spreading, Maranda, her kids, and their beloved dog had no choice but to jump from their second-story window to escape. In the chaos, her daughter was injured during the fall.

They lost everything—clothes, furniture, cherished memories, and the sense of safety that comes with having a home. Now, they are starting from scratch with nothing but the clothes they were wearing and the hope that their community can help them rebuild.

Maranda is a devoted mother who has always put her children first. Now, she needs our help to provide them with the essentials—shelter, clothing, food, and medical care—as they begin the long road to recovery.

Maranda is one of our dedicated CNAs at our Muskego location. Her commitment to caring for others is truly inspiring—so much so that she came in to work her shift just one day after this devastating incident. She has always put her patients and her children first, and now she needs our help.
