I am raising funds for my friend, Maram Ben Dhafer, a 23-year-old trans woman based in Tunisia(downtown) , who dreams of beginning her transition journey but faces immense barriers due to her country's hostile environment.

In Tunisia, transgender individuals lack legal recognition, access to gender-affirming Instagram healthcare, and protection against discrimination. Maram has been denied medical support, faces constant social stigma, and struggles with economic insecurity all of which make transitioning nearly impossible. Despite these challenges, she remains an outspoken advocate for trans rights, determined to live authentically.

This fundraiser will directly support Maram’s transition, covering hormone therapy, medical consultations, essential healthcare, and legal aid to help her navigate Tunisia’s restrictive system.
