Help Mara, Colton, and Chopper move to Utah

Mara, Colton, and Chopper are a small family of 3 that need help with moving costs to get from a little garage in AZ to being with family in Utah.

Back in March, I lost my job and after 100+ job applications and counting, I've had to resort to "struggling artist" trying to sell as many commissions as possible to keep up with our monthly bills(phones, car & insurance). The news of Colton getting laid off from his job in June has hit us really hard, especially with me already out of work. Even with him doing freelance/odd jobs here and there, we're still behind, and beyond stressed.

We've been living in this garage since 2021, something that started as a temporary place to live quickly turned into our only option with multiple set-backs coming up, despite our efforts to save up and find our own place. The Arizona summers are becoming more unbearable every year, now not only for us but Chopper too. Moving to Utah will bring us close to supportive family and give us an indoor room to stay in, in a better climate, while we take on job opportunities we couldn't get by staying here. (Mara got a tattoo apprenticeship!)

The goal to move in August/September has us scrambling to find every opportunity we can to get caught up on life. Since we're still playing catch-up and constantly fighting off sickness, it's unrealistic for us to be able set aside anything towards moving costs, let alone the $800 it costs for a U-Haul. The need for it being the choice to bring some of our furniture along with us (like our bed and desks) rather than restarting with whatever can fit in the car.

Donations from this GoFundMe are strictly for the use of moving costs starting with the U-Haul (moving truck/pod & any company, just whatever is most affordable!).

Anything extra will go towards the cost of storage bins, boxes, tape/bubble wrap and gas.

Lastly, we would like to be able to compensate anyone involved in the moving process, despite the fact they've volunteered their help (i.e., gas money, meals & drinks) or have a small safety net for our bills the first month or so we're there and getting settled.
