Hi For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Katrina. I’m not usually one to ask for help, but I’ve taken to gofundme as my sweet pup Maple has run into some health issues which are unfortunately getting quite expensive.

A little about Maple:

Maple is American born, found living on the streets in Texas. She was living in a parking lot, in the shade of a truck. When she was rescued she was pregnant and had heartworm. The woman that rescued her invested in her health, and found a rescue shelter in Canada that would take her.
For a dog who’s already had a rough start, and had the odds against her, she’s overcome so much and is the sweetest, most loving, snuggly, friendly girl. You’d have never known she had such a tough start. She’s a strong soul. 

She loves attention, from any and everyone, and absolutely loves belly rubs!

Recently she started acting out of the norm which was concerning for me. We’ve had numerous vet visits with a lot of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories to treat the symptoms of what seems to be bothering her, with no real diagnosis. Until she started presenting with alarming symptoms, she became extremely lethargic, was struggling to keep her eyes open, wasn’t eating or drinking, and couldn’t walk. These symptoms came on suddenly last night and I made the decision to take her to the emergency vet hospital. They have admitted her for testing to get to the bottom of what’s going on.

For 48 hour ICU stays, bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasounds, medication etc., adds up very quickly and I’m trying to raise funds to ensure I can pay to get her the help she needs at this crucial time. Anything would help and I would be so appreciative.
