Help Maple Fight for Her Life

Hello friends, I’m reaching out because the past few days have been incredibly tough for my family. This is Maple, she is a 9-week-old miniature dachshund who has warmed so many hearts.

Earlier this week, we noticed a loss of appetite, decline in energy, and diarrhea. As this progressed within 3 days, we started to get worried and so we took her to her primary vet to get answers. She tested positive for Parvo, Giardia, and Coccidia. Her symptoms started to worsen, and she became severely dehydrated, anemic, and lethargic. After spending 3 consecutive days with her primary vet, we decided to place her under supervision with an emergency animal hospital where she is getting treatment for 48 hours. She has been unstable the past 12 hours and is still in critical condition. She has received a central line and is on a feeding tube, fluids, and is undergoing a plasma transfusion, but it’s very touch and go. They gave her a 50/50 chance of recovery ❤️‍
