My name is Kelli, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my significant other, Manuel, who is bravely fighting end-stage liver disease. He has been placed on the liver transplant list at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, and we are holding onto hope for the gift of a second chance at life.

Manuel is the best father, son, brother and partner anyone could ask for. He is kind, selfless, and strong—someone who always puts his family first. His daughter, his son, his granddaughter, his mom, his sister and I need him here with us. He deserves the chance to keep making memories and living the life he loves.

While we are so grateful that Manuel is on the transplant list, this journey comes with overwhelming challenges. Once he receives his transplant, we must stay in Phoenix for at least six weeks so that the Mayo team can closely monitor his recovery. During this time, I will not be able to work, as my focus will be on caring for Manuel and helping him through every step of the healing process.

We are asking for help to cover the costs of housing, food, transportation, and basic living expenses while we are away from home. Any amount—big or small—will make a huge difference and bring us closer to giving Manuel the support he needs to recover.
