Help Manny Overcome Rare Lymphoma Cancer

Donation protected
I am reaching out on behalf of my dear brother-in-law, Emmanuel Francois. Recently, our lives were shaken when 'Manny' was diagnosed with an extremely rare, aggressive form of lymphoma. Manny is a loving husband, to my sister, Jessica, and father of three amazing kids. This diagnosis has been tremendously devastating. But true to his nature, Manny is facing this challenge head-on, with the same strength and determination he has shown throughout his life.

This adult lymphoma cancer will require extensive treatments as well as a bone marrow donor match. Because of Manny’s Haitian descent, the donor must be of Haitian, African American or other Black descent. If a match is identified, the donation would be done via a Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplantation (PBSCT). A peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) donation is a nonsurgical procedure that collects blood-forming cells for bone marrow transplants. Manny’s close family members are being tested to potentially identify a match.

Although Manny’s donor match must be of Black descent, we encourage all who are willing to consider to join the bone marrow registry to help others looking for donors. If you are interested in donating the gift of life, please visit NMDP.org for more information.

For more than 15 years, Manny has been a dedicated public servant as a law enforcement officer, most recently, as a NH State Trooper. Earlier this year, Manny transitioned to the private sector. In addition to being a dad and loving husband, Manny enjoys coaching at the Londonderry Soccer Club and has spent countless hours instilling the values of teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship and sharing his passion for the game.

Why We Need Your Help

Manny and his entire family were blindsided by this diagnosis. In just a few short weeks, he went from perfectly healthy, to critically ill. He’s been in an out of the hospital for months and receiving treatments working with Dana Farber cancer specialists. After many ups and downs, Manny continues to fight for his life. Despite insurance coverage for some aspects, there are many costs that remain uncovered, including extremely expensive, essential treatments and medications that are unique due to this extremely rare form of cancer. Some individual treatments are in excess of $20k per treatment, which insurance has not approved.

In addition, due to the extensive treatment, Manny will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. Manny has always strived to help those in need. Today he is in desperate need of everyone’s help and we kindly asking for your support during this incredibly challenging time. Your donation will go directly towards easing the financial burden, allowing them to focus on what matters most—his recovery and spending time together as a family.
