Help Manny Overcome His Health Crisis

Hello friends of Manny! We wanted to update everyone on his struggles this week. Long story short, he’s been in the emergency room on and off since Wednesday, and they officially admitted him Saturday night. He has pancreatitis, gastroenteritis and a paralytic ileus- which causes no real motility in his GI tract. This is usually caused by some sort of obstruction, but all the scans have been clear of that, so it’s idiopathic (no found reason). He has continued to have diarrhea and regurgitation for 6 days now, unable to keep any feeds down (oral or through the nasogastric tube). The veterinary hospital staff feel strongly he cannot be discharged home safely yet. Although we have pet insurance for Manny, it maxed out at $5k for the year, and his bills have surpassed that; currently sitting around $16,500. He will be there for another 48hrs and possibly need invasive treatment as the next plan of action.
