Hello, my name is Aimee, and I’m writing on behalf of my son Manuel aka Manny Jr.

Our world was turned upside down when my 32-year-old son suddenly became very ill due to a severe stomach infection. What started as an unexpected illness quickly became something that forced him completely off work. He has now been unable to work for over three weeks, and his recovery is still ongoing.

My son is a hardworking, devoted husband and an incredible father. He has always put his family first, showing up every day, working hard, and providing for his loved ones without complaint. Asking for help does not come easy for him—or for us—but this situation has left our family with no choice.

Unfortunately, he has now used all of his available sick days, and while we are in the process of applying for temporary disability, we don’t know when—or if—that support will come through in time. Meanwhile, life does not pause. He still has a mortgage to pay, along with everyday bills and family expenses, all while focusing on getting better.

This fundraiser is meant to help relieve some of that financial pressure so he can focus on healing and returning to the life he loves—being present for his family and getting back to work when he’s able.
