Help Cover Manny's ER Visit Costs
Donation protected
If you’ve ever met Manny, you know he’s not just a dog - he’s a sweet, snuggly soul with a gentle heart, a stubborn streak, and the kind of face that makes strangers stop on the street. He’s been my shadow, my comfort, and my best friend through some of the hardest years of my life.
This week, Manny suddenly fell seriously ill and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. After a long night and multiple tests, we found out he has a dangerous condition involving his gallbladder, and he’ll most likely need life-saving surgery to remove it. The condition - called a gallbladder mucocele - can rupture at any time, which would be fatal without immediate intervention.
In just 24 hours, Manny’s emergency care - including his ER visit, medications, supplements, and new prescription food —has totaled $1,500. And that’s just the beginning. The next step is a consult with a board-certified surgeon, and we’re expecting the surgery itself to cost several thousand dollars. We’re doing everything we can to get ahead of this before it becomes an emergency again, but the costs are quickly becoming overwhelming.
We’re starting with a goal of $1,500 to cover these initial, urgent expenses. Once we speak with a surgical specialist and get an estimate for the procedure and follow-up care, we’ll update this page and adjust the goal accordingly.
If you’re able to help - even just a little - it would mean everything to both of us. All donations will go directly toward Manny’s medical bills, starting with the ER visit and continuing with his upcoming surgery and recovery care.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting us through this scary time. Manny deserves a long, healthy life full of sunshine, sniffs, and belly rubs - and I’m doing everything I can to make sure he gets that chance.
With love & gratitude,
