Help Manny Fight Cancer and Ride Again

This is for beloved brother Manny,

Help my bad ass Uncle beat cancer and ride again.

If you know my uncle Manny, you know what kind of man he is. I remember that moment that he looked me dead in the eye and asked with total seriousness if I could hold still long enough so he could eat that giant spider he sees nesting in my hair, then steals my nose while I am still screaming. That’s him: rough, hilarious, and somehow pure hearted all at once.

He’s a biker, a protector, a world class bullshitter, the youngest brother of five very busy sisters, and misses his best brother Joe who passed on several years ago. Despite how busy we all are, Manny is the one who always keeps track of everyone in the family with monthly calls. Tough as hell on the outside, but anyone who really knows him knows he’s got a soft center that he hides behind while sporting his leather vest and sharing his humorous storytelling tales, all to get a rise out of us.

Now my uncle is facing the fight of his life as he’s starting intense treatment for cancer. While he’s trying to act like the typical strong tough guy we all know, we also know that this is one battle that he can't fight on his own. We all are very grateful for Dorothy, his girlfriend, who is caring for him while he is going through chemotherapy.

So, we're asking for your help to raise money while he goes through treatment. He's had a significant reduction in income while he's on disability, yet his expenses have gone up. Any donations will help to cover the loss of income and additional expenses.

If you have ever been helped by him or laughed with him, this is your moment to help a good friend with a leather vest and a heart of gold who would never ask for help himself. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for reading Manny's story. Let’s get his spirits up and remind him that even the toughest bikers need back up sometimes, and that damn cancer picked the wrong biker.

Elena, his sister, and I, Reina, will be updating this page as we go. Know that you are a blessing in Manny's life!
