On Jan. 1, 2021, Mani was having troubles breathing. He went to urgent care. The physician directed Mani to go to the ER immediately as he is at risk of a heart attack. He did not go that day or the day after that. Unaware that his health insurance was canceled on that very day, he began to plan how to care for him and his boys. He found health insurance online. He is now weighing his financial options. Mani needs a critical surgery and there’s no time to wait.
