Mane Thompson is a remarkable young student that I had the privilege of teaching in first grade. From the very beginning, I have always believed in Mane and knew that he was going to do big things in his life. I was always, and continue to be, so proud of the person he is becoming!

Now in eighth grade, Mane continues to impress me with his dedication, both in the classroom and in his passion for singing and performing. Alongside his friend Tae, Mane has the opportunity to attend an unforgettable end-of-year field trip to Washington, D.C...a trip that promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for both boys.

This trip is especially meaningful for Mane. Not only has he never been on a plane before, but he also sees this as a rare chance to visit the Nation's capital and explore its rich history. Mane has already shown incredible initiative by selling pastries to help fund the trip, and his mother is eager to see her son seize this opportunity. Tae and Mane are excited to share this adventure together before they begin high school, making memories that will last a lifetime.

The cost of the trip is significant ($2000 per student), and while Mane has worked hard to raise some funds, they still need help to make this dream a reality.
