To know Mandy is to know love! She is the most genuine, strong, compassionate, loving and kind person ever. It's our turn to help her out.
And if you know Mandy, you know her dogs are pretty central to her life. Over the last 12 years, Mandy has dealt with many crushing medical diagnoses, one after another. One constant through it all has been her Frenchy friends. (French bulldogs, if you aren’t familiar!) Darla came first and was eventually followed by Olive. They have been Mandy’s constant companions through it all: pain and surgery and ice baths and drug reactions and more pain and random bone breaks and allergies and finally, lots more pain.
With the recent passing of Darla and Olive’s increasing medical complications (due to her age), Mandy’s need for healthy support animals is becoming urgent. It would be great to get her a puppy while Olive is still here to help train him in how to support Mandy through her medical crises. Unfortunately, as we all know, French bulldogs have become the “it” breed which has driven their cost up dramatically. We also know a teacher’s disability salary is frightfully low. We would love to raise enough money to help cover the cost of a new French bulldog for Mandy.
Working together, we have found a breeder who has compassionately agreed to cut her normal rate but that still leaves a $2000 price tag for a special puppy Mandy has her heart set on. Thanks to Actemra, Mandy's RA is becoming more and more under control making this the perfect time to train a puppy. We would love to raise this money by October 22 to make Mandy’s dream of driving to Missouri to pick up baby Henry (henceforth to be known as Hank by close friends) come true.
Thanks so much for reading this, and for any contribution you might consider making! It’s going to translate into a whole lot of love and happiness! ❤️All of us are anticipating that Mandy will be blown away by the love and support of her amazing Team Mandy community.
With love,
Mandy's friends (& Hank & Olive)
It truly is!
Constant companions through flare-ups, broken bones, EDS nightmares and more.
Darla Mae was there through it all. Each diagnosis. Each growing pain. Giving snuggles and love. Let's keep this love growing!
Winking Olive, the One-Eyed Wonder, approves of puppy Hank and cannot wait to teach him the joy of snuggles and toys.
