Hi, my name is Mandy, and I’m finally chasing a dream I’ve carried since I was a kid… one I’ve put on the back burner for years because I didn’t think I was smart enough, brave enough, or the “right size” to do it.
But recently, something changed.
My uncle — a lifelong aviation lover — looked me in the eyes and said,
“You can do this. You’d be amazing at it. Flying is unlike anything else.”
And for the first time, I believed him.
My dad backed me. My friends and coworkers cheered me on.
And suddenly, for the first time in my life, the path to becoming a pilot didn’t feel impossible — it felt real.
So I applied to Blue Line Aviation in Winter Haven, Florida, one of the top accelerated flight schools in the country. If I can get there, I can go from zero flight experience to a fully rated commercial pilot in as little as 5.5 months.
This is my chance to change my life.
To start the program, I need to cover several upfront costs:
✔️ Program Deposit:
Currently $1,500 but could return to $5,000
✔️ Living & Bills for 7 Months:
(flight school is full-time and extremely demanding, so I cannot work)
Estimated $37,000
✔️ Living Space:
RV park near the school — ~$700/month
(Thankfully, my dad will bring his travel trailer for me to live in)
✔️ Supplies & Requirements:
• Books: $1,000
• Medical exam: $200
• Flight app subscription: $100
• Misc. gear
✔️ Moving Costs:
Estimated $2,000–$4,000
✔️ Loan Payment While in Training:
Up to $1,200/month
This will cover:
-My upfront deposit
-Moving and living expenses
-Bills during school
-Required supplies and exams
-Loan payments while I’m unable to work
Anything raised beyond that goes directly toward paying for the school tuition —
If paid in full is $99,000. If financed is about $120,000.
Every dollar truly counts.
Why I’m Determined to Become a Pilot
I’ve always had a strong work ethic. When I want something, I study, practice, and push myself until I master it. I’ve been preparing for months:
Taking practice tests
Watching flight training lessons
Communicating with the school
Researching aircraft
Planning my move
Gathering gear
Studying student pilot journeys
I’ve also worked my entire life in jobs connected to freight — shipping, receiving, detailing, and eventually driving tractor-trailers across the country with my Class A CDL.
So my dream is to become a cargo pilot — to keep doing what I love, but from the sky.
And one day… maybe even start a small charter flight service, offering families unforgettable trips to the Keys, the Bahamas, and destinations across Florida and the Southeast.
A Personal Note:
There is one person in my life who told me I'm not smart enough to do this… that it is too expensive… that it doesn’t include them.
They don't believe in me.
And honestly?
That alone made me want it even more — to prove to myself (and maybe to them) that I am capable.
I’m choosing to bet on myself.
I hope you’ll choose to bet on me too.
❤️ How You Can Help
If you donate, share, or even just leave a message of encouragement, it means more than I can express. You’re helping me step into a career that will change the entire trajectory of my life.
Thank you for believing in a dream I almost gave up on.
This time, I’m not backing down.
– Mandy
