Help Mandy Find a New Home After Family Loss

Donation protected
Friends, please hear me. I need to help the daughter of a longtime friend. Because most of my FB friends are Exeter High School associates from where I retired in 2016, you all have loved Cheryl and Dick Boucher; the epitome of kind, loving and giving people. Cheryl was a special education teacher at EHS and retired in 2015; she had such an impact on her students and enjoyed respect by all who knew her. Such a sweetheart, and Dick often became a chef to , whomever wanted to join them at their table, even on working weekdays, where many EHS friends enjoyed wonderful hospitality and friendship. Dick was 10 years senior in age Their daughter, Amanda, lived with and oversaw their wellness and safety as Cheryl and Dick aged. They were such a loving and welcoming threesome while Mandy worked, and still does, at Exeter Hospital.

Then more joy joined their life when Mandy met her first love and married a wonderful man, David Jones in 2020. They agreed to live with Cheryl and Dick after marriage to care for their aging needs. Suddenly, Dick was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in 2021. Such a devastating loss of a very good man who was so proud to have served in the Coast Guard. A few months later, Cheryl began showing signs of Alzheimer’s and Mandy and David cared for her so that she could stay at home. Mandy worked days and David, nights, to bring in income and be there for Cheryl.

The unimaginable happened months ago. Amanda’s Mom, Cheryl, needed a safe place due to her advanced Alzeimer’s and she entered a loving facility. It was only months later that Amanda’s husband suddenly died. So much devastation for Mandy.

While grieving every day for the loss of her husband, she has also lost the comfort of her Mom’s presence to help her navigate all this heartache

Since Mandy lived her entire life in a home with her parents, she has learned that she is in the process of losing the home and a place to live due to the government overtaking their home in order to pay for Cheryl’s Medicaid. The home is going into foreclosure, leaving Mandy homeless with her little pup. This is sad beyond measure.

PLEASE, anyone who can contribute to this fund to help Mandy find an affordable place to live as her whole world has deteriorated before her eyes, I am pleading for your help.
