Help Mandy Brown fight breast cancer

The lovely Mandy Brown was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2020. Because of this, she needs a bi-lateral (double) mastectomy that will take place on December 2nd, and she will require follow-up surgeries and months of chemo as well as other treatments as directed by her oncologist to ensure she can have a long and healthy life afterwards.
Mandy is an incredibly talented and hard-working musician, and she has already faced career and financial setbacks this year thanks to the coronavirus pandemic that has decimated the performing arts. She is still planning to remotely teach and sing as she goes through her treatment regimen, but she will need to adjust accordingly to accommodate her treatments and take some time off for recovery.
As a self-employed freelance musician, Mandy is not able to earn a living if she is unable work. Although she has purchased her own health insurance, she will have several out-of-pocket expenses in addition to pay along side her high deductible. She would greatly benefit from some extra funds as a cushion so that she can feel financially stable enough to take a day off here and there as she needs to fully recover. The initial fundraising goal is an estimate of what Mandy’s deductible/out-of-pocket insurance costs will be for the duration of her cancer treatments and one month’s worth of income. This estimate doesn’t include any additional expenses not covered by her insurance.
With the holidays coming up it is certainly a busy (and expensive) time of year. But if you are able to contribute toward Mandy’s already-mounting expenses to treat her cancer, she will be incredibly grateful. Any amount will most certainly be helpful and very much appreciated. Even small donations ($5, $25, nothing is too small!) can help Mandy take time off without stress when she has a treatment, a surgery, or simply needs to rest and recover. She is facing a frightening (and expensive) process to save her life, along with a global pandemic that is adding many curveballs to an already complicated and precarious treatment process.
