Help Mandy and Tabi

Veteran Firefighter Mandy Robinson sustained an off duty knee injury in September which has left her in need of surgery unable to work. While the injury is covered by her insurance, she is not eligible for short term disability and will be without a paycheck until she can return to work. With the schedule that firefighters have, Mandy used her days off to do a side job with construction to make extra income. With her injury, this is also no longer an option. Mandy worked for Griffin FD for several years and recently moved to Rockdale FD where she just passed her most recent promotional test. I have no doubt that this will spread because of the family bond that runs in the FD community and the softball community (both of which she is involved in), so if you don’t know her personally, let me fill you in. Mandy is the kind of person that will give you the shirt off her back even if it’s all she has just because she knows you need it. She is passionate about helping others and has made a career of it. She has no fear and will never let someone tell her that she is incapable of doing something. She has a huge heart that led her to the love of her life, Tabi, who has been her rock and helped her with this struggle. She will do anything for those she loves. She will sacrifice her body to dive for a line drive and her life for a coworker. Mandy could be having a terrible day, but would put that to the side and make a fool of herself just to make you laugh if you’re having a bad day as well. The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide financial aid to help with groceries, bills, miscellaneous expenses, insurance deductibles, and anything else they may need while Mandy recovers. This has been a tough couple of years for Mandy and Tabi with loss of life, a recent shoulder surgery, struggles with Covid through sickness and career, and all the little things in life. Through it all, they smile and push on still being there for others. It is officially our turn to be there for them.
