Help Mandie and Colton's Family in Crisis
Donation protected
Update to Mandie and Colton... She has been moved ro an inpatient rehab, and when she is released she will have to have 24 hour care, which still means she wont be able to work yet. We dont know how long that'll be. We have started the process to start FMLA, and when she is released from rehab, we will start applying for disability. Colton is still in the hospital, with the hopes of going to an inpatient rehab soon, we dont know how long he will be there before he is released, and we dont know exact steps after that for him. Neither can get any disability started until theyve completed rehab and are deemed unable to work.
My name is Marti, I am from Georgia. However I have family in Indiana. One of those family is my older sister, Mandie. She has been more than a sister. She is a loving wife to Colton, and mother to 2 kids. On Sunday may 18th, we got a call that none of us were ready for. Mandie and Colton had been in a motorcycle accident, they hit a deer. They loved to ride as much as they loved anything else. It was a favorite past time of theirs. They are both still in critical condition, on a veventilator. Their kids need financial help paying bills until they can get FMLA started. Im asking for donations of any amount to cover rent, utilities, animal food, and any other expenses their kids encounter. Their adult kids, 20 and 21, work, but also have their own monthly expenses, and as young adults with this kind of traumatic experience is already struggling. They don't need the extra finance burdens of the bills. Anything will help.
