Help Mandi get a safe used car after a catastrophic year

The past year has been catastrophic for Mandi and her kids, and she could use our help getting them back on their feet. We’re trying to help her get a safe, reliable used vehicle for her family.

A sudden medical emergency landed her in extremely critical condition in ICU for over two months with septic shock and organ failure. She had 6 surgeries during a medically-induced coma, 3 organs removed, 3 other organs altered, almost 50 blood transfusions, and couldn’t eat or drink for that entire time. She had to relearn to walk, brush her teeth, and other daily tasks. Having been told she had a minuscule chance of surviving, she prepared to say goodbye to her kids while fighting with everything she had to beat the odds and live.

While she was hospitalized, her beloved dog had to be put down due to a spinal injury. Weeks after she was finally released to go home, she lost her 24-year marriage and found herself a single mom of 3 trying to recover from a life-threatening illness and unable to work. And just weeks after that, she was hit by a dump truck while driving on a highway, which totaled her SUV.

she has fought hard to overcome the obstacles and is devoted to her kids and her community. She is back to working and has come so far, but she still has medical bills, is adjusting to being a single mom, and has been driving a very old and unreliable vehicle. If we can raise $15,000 she can get a safe, reliable used vehicle for her family and give her a little boost as she faces these hardships head on.
