Help Manda Rebuild After a Month of Crisis

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of someone truly remarkable — Manda Smith. She’s one of the strongest, kindest, and most resilient people you could ever meet. But after a month full of heartbreaking setbacks, even she needs help.

It all began with a wrongful termination from her job — a gut-wrenching and unjust loss that completely disrupted her life. Before she could catch her breath, her apartment caught fire due to old equipment, damaging her laundry room and kitchen, including essential electronics. When maintenance came to replace the damaged items, they accidentally flooded her entire apartment, causing even more loss and chaos.

And if that wasn’t enough, her apartment complex is refusing to take responsibility for any of the damages, even though she pays renters insurance through them. Manda is now in the incredibly difficult position of trying to recover while also seeking legal counsel to hold them accountable, as well as her prior employer.

On top of everything, Manda has some important medical tests she needs to undergo — tests she’s been putting off because of all the financial and emotional strain she’s under.

As if this month hadn’t already taken enough, the stress has started to affect her beloved cat, Kurt Russell. He’s always had a heart condition, but since the fire and flood, he’s become noticeably more lethargic and unwell. Manda is now facing the added emotional and financial burden of scheduling cardiac testing to ensure he gets the care he needs before things worsen.

She’s always been an independent SOB, but right now she truly needs her community to rally around her. Every dollar raised will go toward:
