Hey y'all. It's Manda coming to you from my 10th day in the hospital. I came in on 5/29 with fever and chills and because of low potassium levels, I went into Cardiac Arrest on Sunday 6/2, and spent four days intubated in ICU. I still can't go home though because there is no clue as to why I'm still having the fever.

I had a short 4-day hospital stay a couple of years ago and even with insurance, I had to pay about $15,000 out of pocket. This is a longer stay with ICU so I'm guessing it will be at least twice that. I'd been struggling before this happened and was trying to get some consulting work but I have no idea how long I'll be out of commission. I hate asking for help, like any loner Gen X-er, but I have no choice. And it would suck to be unhoused on top of everything else. Whatever you can give would be so appreciated.
