My Name is Manahil Fatima, and I go to Creighton University. I'm starting this Go Fund Me to raise money for my Tuition fee.
I was born and raised in Pakistan, and I came to the United States with my mother when I was eleven years old. We arrived with very little, but we carried a dream: that I could pursue a medical career and attend a strong university where I could grow, learn and eventually serve others. When I discovered Creighton University, I knew it was where I belonged. Its medical programs, values, and community aligned perfectly with the future I envision for myself. I'm very grateful to earn a scholarship, but it does not cover the full cost of tuition. As a daughter of a single mother who works tirelessly at one job, paying the remaining amount each month has become increasingly difficult. We live paycheck to paycheck, and each month it becomes harder for my mother to support my education. I have tried to find work to help her, but due to my Immigration status, I am not legally allowed to hold a job. Despite these barriers I remain determined to continue my education in Creighton because it is more than just a school to me. It is a community and a home where I already have built stong connections in. Coming from Pakistan, I have seen firsthand how deeply life can change when a person receives timely care. This is when I knew I wanted to become a trauma surgeon, someone who can be a source of light and hope during people's darkest moments. The challenges my mother and I have faced in the US has shaped my resilience and strengthened my desires to serve others with compassion, understanding, and purpose. My dreams and goals are as worthy as those of a student at Creighton. With additional financial support I know I can continue on the path towards achieving them. Being at Creighton is not just a step towards a degree it is a step towards becoming the kind of person who can uplift and care for others, just as so many have done for me. I hope to stay here, learn here, and grow here as I work towards getting my degree and giving back to the communities that have supported me.
Any amount of donation Helps.
