We need your help. My name is Erica and I am fundraising for my loving husband, Donell, who was severely brain damaged when he was walking across the street and hit by a car on the way to work. It has been two and a half months and he has yet to wake up.. My heart is broken! He is bed-ridden and needs expensive skilled nursing care 24/7 that we cannot afford. He has an left ventricular assist device, which means we are having a hard time finding a nursing home that will take him. There is no way we can do this alone.. A private nurse is on average $30 an hour! That’s roughly $21,600 a month! By the way, Don is a veteran. He served in the Air Force. He does NOT qualify for long term care from the VA.
