Mamoun, my brother’s firstborn son, is turning two in June. He was recently diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a progressive condition that causes weakness, pain, and loss of mobility. Early treatment is crucial for his quality of life.

SMA is a heartbreaking diagnosis for any child, but especially for Mamoun, who is always smiling and full of joy. Watching him struggle to walk, stand, and play is difficult for our family. We want to give him the chance to experience childhood without the limitations of this disease.

The treatments Mamoun needs—Zolgensma, Spinraza, and Evrysdi—are extremely expensive and include specialized medications, therapy, and ongoing medical care.

Donations will help cover these treatments, as well as therapy, specialists, travel, medical equipment, and more. Our family cannot afford this alone, and we are reaching out for help from our community and beyond.
