It is with great regret that I bring somber news on the health of our Queen, the matriarch of this family, Consuelo Diaz de Ramirez better known as mami Chelo. She is rapidly transitioning from her earthly body to join Christ the Lord in heaven where her fragile body will be made whole.

 

Mami Chelo has lived a full life. Born September 9, 1928, in Jiquilpan Jalisco Mexico to Cresenciano Diaz Serrano and Herminia Mendoza de la Mora, she is the last living child of 6 siblings. When God calls her home to sweet rest, she will leave behind 9 kids (3 precede her in death), 29 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren to mourn and cherish her legacy.

 

We all know today’s reality of round the clock care for an elder is more than an overburdening expense. It has been a daily sacrifice for my Aunt Ito and her family to provide top notch, unending care, for my grandmother this last decade. Let us come together as a family financially to display our appreciation and to honor my grandmother’s life and the sacrifices she made for us to be who we are. It is her wish, to be laid to rest at home in Jiquilpan next to her husband my grandfather “papi yoyo” Doroteo Ramirez Rivera. The money raised by this gofundme, will go directly towards relocation of her precious body, and all other final burial expenses.

 

I understand that during the holidays, and these times, it is not easy for many people, but any contributions would be extremely appreciated and greatly needed.

Con gran pesar les traigo sombrías noticias sobre la salud de nuestra Reina, la matriarca de esta familia, Consuelo Díaz de Ramírez más conocida como mami Chelo. Ella está pasando rápidamente de su cuerpo terrenal para unirse a Cristo el Señor en el cielo, donde su frágil cuerpo se sanará.

 

Mami Chelo ha vivido una vida plena. Nacida el 9 de septiembre de 1928 en Jiquilpan Jalisco México hija de Cresenciano Díaz Serrano y Herminia Mendoza de la Mora, es la última hija viva de 6 hermanos. Cuando Dios la llame a su hogar para un dulce descanso, ella dejará atrás a 9 hijos (3 la preceden en la muerte), 29 nietos y 33 bisnietos para llorar y apreciar su legado.

 

Todos sabemos que la realidad actual de cuidar a un anciano las 24 horas del día es más que un gasto abrumador. Ha sido un sacrificio diario para mi tía Ito y su familia brindar una atención de primer nivel e interminable a mi abuela en esta última década. Unámonos económicamente como familia para mostrar nuestro agradecimiento y honrar la vida de mi abuela y los sacrificios que hizo por nosotros para ser quienes somos. Es su deseo, descansar en casa en Jiquilpan junto a su esposo mi abuelo “papi yoyo” Doroteo Ramirez Rivera. El dinero recaudado por este gofundme se destinará directamente a la reubicación de su precioso cuerpo y todos los demás gastos finales del entierro.

 

Entiendo que durante las vacaciones, y en estos tiempos, no es fácil para muchas personas, pero cualquier contribución sería muy apreciada y muy necesaria.
