Help Mama Toni Rebuild Trader Bay Seafood
Donation protected
The Storm surge from hurricane Helene brought 4 feet of water into Trader Bay Seafood in Hernando Beach. For the last 15 years my mom Toni has worked at building Trader Bay to be the go-to place for our Famous Blue Crabs, smoked fish dip and an assortment of fresh and frozen seafood. When the storm surge came in it shattered two of our front windows which then allowed the rush of water to fill our store. We had to remove the walls 4 feet down and all the electrical outlets that were under water. We lost our dining room tables, office desk and wood shelved racks. We lost a few freezers and all the inventory they held along with retail merchandise and supplies we use in our daily routine. Our walk in and ice machine were damaged as well and in need of repair. We have mostly completed the demo and have reached the point of rebuilding. With the inability to open to full capacity we are finding it extremely difficult to finance the needed repairs. We understand much of the community has also been affected, but we are reaching out and asking you to help my mom in rebuilding Trader Bay Seafood Company!
